Today is a sad day hearing of the passing of Andy. Andy and I were in grammar school and high school together beginning as I
remember in fourth grade all the way through high school and our graduation in 1954.
We both played in the MAI band together for many years. We always had a very good relationship with cherished memories of the good old days at the Mount.
Andy was a very hard worker both in high school in his fathers workshop and his dedicated career in the air conditioning business.
I can remember well that both the grammar school and high school students lined up and as a body went to confession at St. Peters the first Friday of every month. As very young students in grammar school we did not at the time have full knowledge of what a sin was to confess.
On our way to St. Peters we would discuss what to tell the priest, so we made up our "sins" to get us off the hook with the priest.
I feel confident that Andy is in heaven looking down and smiling at all his loved ones.
My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to Andy and his family.
Remember that when we pray for a deceased person they at the same time pray for us.
With cherished memories

I remember Andy from my time at Nelson's Flower Shop. He always kept the coolers running in tip-top shape!!! My favorite memory of Andy is a funny one: Dick had called Andy to tell him that our display cooler wasn't working as it should. Andy arrived with his tools and a small blow torch, entered the display cooler and went right to work. I'm not sure what happened that day, but there was a small "explosion" that popped the door open. Andy made a hasty exit from the cooler!!! I'm not sure who was more surprised; me, (I worked with my back to the cooler) or Andy. I do know that after that day he always made sure to reassure me that he wouldn't "blow me up!"
Rest in Peace. You will be missed.
I am very sorry for your loss. Kathy Lambert
