John S. Lisosky, 87, of Cemetery Road, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Monday March 8, 2021 at Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing in Plattsburgh. He was born in Saranac, NY on July 28, 1933 the son of Steve and Evangeline Cecelia Plumadore Lisosky. His father passed when he was two years old.
He graduated from Morrisonville High School.
John joined the United States Army in 1951, he was honorably discharged in 1953. After being discharged he began working at Bayview Dairy until they closed. He then went on to work at St. Joseph’s Church in West Chazy retiring in 2002. John was a founding member of the Beekmantown Fire Dept. at the Point Au Roche Station and a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in West Chazy.
John was predeceased by his parents, and his wife Joan who passed in 2016.
He is survived by his cousins Mary Anne Foley of Morrisonville, NY and William Plumadore of Morrisonville, his sisters-in-law; Mary and Theresa Favreau of Beekmantown, Thersea and Al Marcotte of VA, a nephew Jim Favreau and his wife Sherry of West Chazy, NY and his extended family, neighbors and friends also survive him.
Calling hours will be held on Friday March 12, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel, burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Chazy.
Donations in John’s memory may be made to the St. Joseph’s Church, West Chazy.
John’s family wishes to thank the staff at the Office for the Aging for all the care she provided him over the years and the staff at Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing.
